I hope you aren’t stressing out about social media and how to grow a following. This literally kept me up at night for what felt like the longest time.

Max and Roman, my 6 and 9 year old would constantly ask me “Mum who are you texting for such a long time on your phone?”. My reply “nobody, I’m trying to create an interesting post that people like”. The stress of trying to be creative and give a bucket load of value stressed me out. The results: 2 likes and maybe 8 views.

I sat there ‘rolling my eyes” wondering what the heck I had done wrong.

All that changed when I started to pay attention to my insight, how many views and likes I was getting on my Instagram Stories compared to my Reels and what kind of value were they reacting to? Within 60 days of posting more of what they were viewing, liking and commenting on I went from 528 to 2000+

Now, you might be thinking “Mel that’s hardly magic” but hear me out. I had this account since 2015 and it never EVER had over 500 followers. So my growth is MAGIC to me. It’s realistic.

💡 Tailoring Content to Your Unique Audience: Every audience is as unique as the services you provide. Dive into your insights to understand the preferences of your ideal clients. For instance, if your focus is email marketing, aim for a 20% open rate, a 5% click-through rate, and a 10% conversion rate. These benchmarks can be adjusted based on your industry and goals. *PLEASE NOTE: These are my metrics based on my own niche. Your niche will be different unless you are in the same niche as me, and remember "you are your niche" so no matter what you say, we are never 100% in the exact same niche. Maybe we are just playing the same game. Also important to note: is that these metrics are my own. It can change and it likely will as I scale. It's important to choose your own metrics but generally speaking you want at least a minimum of 20% of you email list to be opening your email and at lease 5% of those people clicking the actual link. The conversion rate will depend on if your offer is on point or not.

• Engagement Rates: Measure likes, comments, and shares to understand the resonance of your content.
• Conversion Rates: Track how many of your social media followers turn into actual customers or clients.
• Audience Demographics: Know your audience's age, location, and interests to tailor content accordingly.

🔍 Insight Analysis and Adaptation: Regularly check your insights and adapt your strategy accordingly. If a certain type of post consistently performs well, replicate its elements in future content. Don't be afraid to experiment, and always be open to evolution.

🗣 Direct Feedback: Engage with your audience directly. Conduct polls, surveys, or simply ask them what they want to see more of. This not only garners valuable insights but also fosters a sense of community.
